Volunteer

Action Network Worldwide is a collaborative community platform that connects sustainable development professionals — students, alumni, practitioners, social enterprises and donor organisations — for knowledge exchange, collaboration, learning and opportunities.

We are looking for volunteers who want to help build the platform, grow the community and make it more useful for every member. Role titles and scopes are still evolving: we value skills, initiative and mission alignment over rigid titles.

Where you can help

• Marketing, content & growth — create social media content, run newsletters and email campaigns, and find networks and partners that could join or amplify the platform.
• Opportunities — check, complete and publish the funding calls, courses, fellowships and events our discovery pipeline collects, and keep published listings accurate and up to date.
• Onboarding — welcome new members, make warm introductions and guide newcomers through their first weeks.
• Team operations — coordinate volunteers and improve the workflows and documentation the team runs on.
• Platform & engagement — keep the community active with roundups, discussions and polls, and run online events and AMA sessions.
• Help desk — answer member questions and write tutorials, FAQs and how-to guides.

A note on payment

Action Network Worldwide still largely runs on volunteer work. Some contributors are paid, and rewarding contributions is something we want to open up as the platform builds a self-sustaining economy. That is a possibility, not a promise: none of these volunteer roles comes with payment or any entitlement to it.
